The last venue I will be posting about is SWG3 located in the West End of Glasgow. This is a venue I really like in Glasgow, as it is home to so many different types of events and also has different halls/areas that suit each event.
Within SWG3 there is nine spaces in total that they have. The first five are all the main places that gigs and concerts take place, firstly Galvanisers, if you have been to SWG3 then you've most likely been in here. This space holds 1250 people and is the second biggest space at SWG3 but the biggest indoor space. In April 2023 I went to Stack City presents Multunes, which was held in here and the TV Studio and it was a great atmosphere. Whilst this was a rave and not necessarily a gig, the sound and lighting was absolutely phenomenal just as you would expect it to be at a gig as well.

The TV Studio is another part of SWG3 that is a great atmosphere, the 'abandoned warehouse' feel makes it completely unique and perfect for rave events which they also hold. However, my first time in the TV Studio was back in February 2020 at Cavetown. This was a great concert and one I will always remember as the crowd was energetic and the performance was fabulous. The TV Studio holds 1000 people but still has a smaller feel in terms of music venues.
The next space at SWG3 is the warehouse which has a 500 person capacity, I have never personally been in this part of the venue however it is often used for club nights, live music events and dinners.
My favourite space at SWG3 has to be the Yard. The outdoor yard has a 4000 person capacity. I have seen The Snuts and Rex Orange County perform here. It holds a great atmosphere, if you can get good weather for it, which is a rarity in Scotland. My favourite moment was The Snuts singing their song 'Glasgow' here, in the sun, with the best crowd ever! Has to be one of my favourite moments at a gig.

SWG3 also has the Poetry Club, which is a very small space holding 125 people. This is where I seen The Covasettes in September 2022, and was potentially one of the smallest gigs I've been to. All of the different spaces exemplify the amount of different events that SWG3 hold, and how there is capacity for all different artist big or small. The Poetry Club is a smaller venue which can showcase upcoming bands to highlight their talents and it keeps the 'original gig culture' where I managed to see the Covasettes for only £10!

Overall, SWG3 is a staple music venue in Glasgow with many different spaces and welcomes all different artists from across the world, from extremely well known to upcoming new artists, it is certainly one of my favourites!
